Orginally scheduled for Nov 7-8 2018, we have now confirmed the new dates with the relevant authorities, and the new dates are 27th-28th of November 2018.

e-Government Conference & ICT Exhibition - The Beginning

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the e-Government Conference and ICT Exhibition 2018 to be held at MICC-2 in Nay Pyi Taw, 27th-28th of November 2018 (dates to be confirmed).

The first event was held last year on October 7-8 of 2016, and opened by Vice President 2 U Henry. The first year’s event featured over 35 companies and 88 booths of e-government technologies and solutions, 10 technical paper presentations, and over a hundred government officials who are involved in decision making or recommendations for new technologies to implement at their respective government departments.

2017 - The Second e-Government Conference & ICT Exhibition

The second year's e-Government conference and ICT exhibition (Nay Pyi Taw) took place on the 7-8 November 2017. The conference and ICT exhibition was organized by Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF), in accordance with the guidance of the Computer Science Developed Council, Chaired by the Union Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

2018 - the Third e-Government Conference & ICT Exhibition

This year's e-Government conference and ICT exhibition (Nay Pyi Taw) will take place on the 7-8 November 2018 (dates to be confirmed). The conference and ICT exhibition is organized by Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF), in accordance with the guidance of the Computer Science Developed Council, Chaired by the Union Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

In hosting this conference and ICT Exhibition, the primary objectives are:

To enable the departmental CIOs to understand more on the latest technologies and updates regarding e-Government,
To showcase the capabilities of the local IT companies to the heads of the state departments,
To recognize the great importance of Information Technology in implementing the goals of the government,
To enable the state and regional (divisional) governments to take a good example of the union government's reliance on e-Government and Information Technology
To obtain a positive signal among international communities by proving that the new government pays a great attention to Information Technology.

Information Packed Conference

Over 540 government officials and 270 private sector participants participated in the second e-Government Conference (NPT - 2017). And we are expecting more officials will turn out this year.

There were 15 technical paper presentations last year. One of the highlights was the VIP Discussion Panel, with His Excellency Union Minister U Thant Sin Maung. This year, we will excedd that number, and have a few more special sessions.
